Summer Ruffles

Monday, June 26, 2017

According to Cosmopolitan, ruffles are huge this summer! So, if you fancy a feminine and totally romantic twist on your summer uniform, try wearing your favourite shorts with a ruffled top, or go all out and dazzle in a full-on ruffled dress. Personally, I am on a hunt for an understated ruffled skirt that I can wear with simple white tees for casual date nights.

What do you think: thumbs up or down?

Tip For Surviving The Heatwave

If the heartwave is slowly wearing you down, here is a tiny tip that might just help: pre-cut a bunch of lemons or limes and freeze them. Popping a few frozen lemon wedges (or slices) will make your tap water taste instantly cooler, zestier, fresher and a bit fancier too. Try it! It's the little things...

P.S: Also, this.
P.P.S: And that.

Genius Recipe Posters

Genius! I’m the first one to admit that Ikea is my go-to guilty indulgence! I happily overlook their tedious how-to instructions and I can't get enough of their veggie-balls. Have you tried them?

So you can imagine my excitement when I spotted their latest scrumptious invention. The Canadian branch came up with Cook This Page, an ingenious set of illustrated recipes that are ridiculously easy to follow, safe and unproblematic. The only thing you have to do is put everything in the right place, roll it up and toss in the oven.

Would you try it?

P.S: Home Ikea.
P.P.S: And, this.

Cheers to the Summer

Wednesday, June 21, 2017

Happy summer solstice, everyone! I don't know about you, but I am so ready for the season of smelling like sunscreen, finding comfort in breezy mornings and late night strolls by the water and drinking this cold-brewed shiso and hibiscus tea iced latte on repeat. I've had this recipe bookmarked for a few months now, just waiting and waiting for the right time to make it and finally last night, I managed to get all the ingredients and made it, so today I can celebrate the turn of the season with the creamiest and the prettiest drink around. Thanks for that, Lindsay:)

If you fancy joining in, here is the recipe. Cheers!

First Meeting

Be ready to have your heart totally melted. Last February Scott and his new wife, Shandace were taking wedding photos downtown Seattle when this sweet little girl walked by with her mom. The little girl instantly thought that the bride was the Princess from her favourite book (the one she's holding) and since this all happened during their photo shoot, photographer Stephanie Cristalli managed to snap this rather sweet moment between those two...

We should never grow out of that blissful innocence. Made my day!

P.S: Making memories.

If you often feel blue or occasionally struggle with anxiety, I have just the thing for you!

Recently, Elle Decor shared the 'it' living-breathing-antidepressants aka fresh plants that have the power to calm even the most stressed out person. Yes, basil, English ivy, Boston fern, lavender and rosemary are said to ease anxiety, foster feelings of happiness, promote positivity and encourage inner peace. So if you need a little help in that department, treat yourself to one of those beauties above and never look back...

Every little helps:)

Girls Rule!

Recently, Glamour Magazine hosted the Women of the Year Awards to celebrate the girls who have shone in their field. But besides those amazing few, the mag wanted to acknowledge that women in general are strong, brilliant and inspiring in their own worlds. So they cleverly gathered stories to show us that we all have that special girl in our life who inspire us...

Brilliant, don't you think? Who's yours?

P.S: Here you can read more about all those ladies above.
P.P.S: What women do when no one is watching :)
