Homemade French Nutella croissants

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Oh my goodness, how mouthwatering are those French Nutella croissantsTanya and husband Ryan have a cool tradition of "Surprise Sunday Breakfasts" to have some special time together because of their odd schedules! One of them whips up an amazing meal while the other can catch up on sleep or just simply chill in bed with a book till the heavenly smell of coffee and baked goods make them jump out and run for it. Isn't that brilliant? They both take turns and on one of those glorious Sunday mornings Tanya baked nuttella croissants. I'll definitely make those croissants this Sunday! (Recipe here and it looks very easy). My Loves, have you made croissants before? Do you have any cool breakfast, lunch, dinner traditions you would like to share with us? I would love to know...xo

P.S: Stay tuned for GIVEAWAY Wednesday!

My husband and I both have very busy, early mornings during the week, so he usually pours me some cereal or makes me some oatmeal and coffee or something quick, which is really sweet of him! Then, sometimes on the Saturday mornings, I'll make pancakes or migas or something a little fancier. :-)

This is SUCH an awesome idea!!! I make those Pilsbury crescent rolls all the time, but I never though to put something inside them. I think I'm going to have to try it with that triple berry jam I talked about in my blog post from the other week. :-)

These look fabulous! I love croissants and made them several times while I was in culinary school, but haven't attempted them in a while. Just remember to keep your dough and butter cold while your folding and rolling them, that way they turn out buttery, flaky, and moist!

what a neat idea. I have a recipe for homemade croissants. I'm still hesitant as the recipe looks very complicated, but I still want to give it a try.

we have a sunday breakfast ritual. I make omelettes with lots of veggies, and pancakes. nothing better than a good meal to start the day.
